Several years ago, I had an experience that permanently changed my life perspective. I’m a member of a very small community of people who have been dead and lived again to reboot our lives. While on a bicycle ride in a rural area, I experienced a sudden cardiac arrest and ended up lying in a ditch without a pulse...only to wake up from a coma 3 days later with no memory of what had happened. I am eternally grateful to my riding buddy who saved me by performing CPR for over 15 minutes to keep my brain from dying; and I am thankful that I didn’t leave my amazing wife and four children without a dad at crucial crossroads in their young lives. Fortunately, my family did not need to collect on my life insurance that day, but I’m so appreciative that we have life insurance through State Farm. Now in living my “Second Life,” I’m passionate about helping families plan for success but prepare for the worst.

Here in my office, we are family-focused and community-based and we love furry dogs and cuddly cats too.
