Several years ago, I had an experience that permanently changed my life perspective. I’m a member of a very small community of people who have been dead and lived again to reboot our lives. While on a bicycle ride in a rural area, I experienced a sudden cardiac arrest and ended up lying in a ditch without a pulse...only to wake up from a coma 3 days later with no memory of what had happened. I am eternally grateful to my riding buddy who saved me by performing CPR for nearly twenty minutes to keep my brain from dying; and I am thankful that I didn’t leave my amazing wife and four children without a dad at crucial crossroads in their young lives. Fortunately, my family did not need to collect on my life insurance that day, but I’m so appreciative that we have life insurance through State Farm. Now in living my “Second Life,” I’m passionate about helping families plan for success but prepare for the worst.

Here in my office, we are family-focused and community-based and we love furry dogs and cuddly cats too. We’re located in Philomath and proudly serve the Corvallis Metro Area, the Mid-Willamette Valley, and communities all over Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Polk, and Lane Counties. But we serve customers all over Oregon, Washington, and Nevada, and we are licensed in all three states.

I’m a former restaurant owner, Archaeologist, and non-profit Development Director, but in my current life, I work hard to be a good neighbor and an investor in my community.
